HomeMade Wool Dryer Balls

Ingredients

  • One spool of 100% wool yarn(120 yards)
  • One Crochet hook
  • One pair of pantyhose

How to Make

  • Unwrap your yarn and with one end start wrapping the yarn around two fingers 10 times.
  • Next, remove the yarn from fingers and wrap yarn 15 times around the middle going the opposite way.
  • Continue wrapping the yarn 8-10 times around before moving to a new position.  Trying to keep the form of a ball.
  • When your ball is around the size of a tennis ball, cut the yarn.  With the loose end pull it through with the crochet hook.
  • When completed place your balls in pantyhose.  Knot the end of each ball in the pantyhose before moving on to next one.
  • Place dryer balls in the washer and then the dryer.  Washing and drying with several loads.  You will see the balls start to felt and become more solid.  Remove from pantyhose.
  • The more you use this powerful little dryer balls, the softer your clothes become.
  • If you prefer fragrance in your laundry add a few drops of essential oils like lavender on each ball.

These are not only non-toxic but they also will be money saving for your budget.
